I studied medicine at Universidad Favaloro in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I completed my general surgery training at the Hospital Regional de Alta Especialidad de la Península de Yucatán. I am a colorectal surgeon trained at the Hospital General de México Eduardo Liceaga, with advanced subspecialty training in pelvic floor disorders and endoanal ultrasound.
